Broadband Optical Clock Recovery System Based on Two-Photon Absorption

Abstract

We describe a new optical clock recovery system that uses two-photon absorption in a silicon photodiode. Unlike many earlier approaches, the system is compact, sensitive, broadband, polarization-insensitive, and scalable to higher bit-rates.
